Shipping
How long will it take to get my order?
It depends on where you are. Once processed, orders will usually take 5 -7 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take between 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
Shipping cost calculation and policy
Shipping cost is determined by the weight and size dimensions of your purchased items, the distance between our warehouse in Sydney and your shipping address, and your chosen delivery speed.
We use the cheapest and most basic delivery method possible from either of our freight forwarders.
We do not mark-up on the shipping costs to you.
Customers with shipping addresses outside of Australian shipping zone are solely responsible for all duties, import taxes and brokerage fees. These are not included in the cost of shipping or handling of your order. Customs, duties, and taxes vary widely from country to country; please check with your local customs agency for details on estimated costs.
Customs, duty, and taxes are non-refundable: so if you refuse a shipment because of unexpected import fees, the cost of the original shipping, any brokerage/customs/duty/taxes, and any return shipping charges will not be refunded.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know when the bag is full?
Always turn off the power and unplug the lead from the power point before replacing the bag, cleaning or servicing your vacuum.
You may notice reduced suction of your Hairvac, this is one of the first signs that the bag is full.
When first using your vacuum, we recommend checking the bag every couple of days to get an indication of how long it takes to fill under normal cleaning conditions.
How do I replace the Bag?
Always turn off the power and unplug the lead from the power point before replacing the bag, cleaning or servicing your vacuum.
Remove the lid by lifting it straight up from the top of the canister.
Carefully remove the existing bag by gently pulling at the cardboard collar.
The bag is durable, but please take care it doesn’t rip - especially if the bag looks overfull or hasn’t been changed for some time.
Unfold your NEW disposable paper bag at the seams and extend it fully so there is a good volume of air inside it.
Please ensure this is done, especially near the top of the bag, to prevent blockage and lack of suction.
By not following this step your Hairvac will not operate at full performance.
Take hold of the bag's cardboard support and associated rubber gasket surrounding the middle of the hole, and slip it well over the exposed end of the bag adaptor.
Note: It is not necessary to enlarge the bag opening, as it will fit over the adaptor with a gentle persuasion.
Fit the lid back on the canister. Failure to do so will result in no vacuum pressure and hence no suction.
Check your power supply is switched back on.
How do I get the most life out of my vacuum?
Always turn off the power and unplug the lead from the power point whenever replacing the bag or cleaning your vacuum.
Your Hairvac has been designed to operate practically maintenance-free.
To ensure you get maximum life out of your vacuum, please regularly check that there isn’t a build up of hair at the base of the canister around the filter.
Regularly dust out the filter and remove any hair or dust.
Please place the filter carefully back into its spot before using the vacuum again.
My Hairvac has stopped sucking or not sucking up as well?
- Check that the lid is securely fastened on top of the canister.
- Check to see if the bag is full to capacity. If yes, switch off at the wall, then dispose and replace with a new bag.
I need to replace a damaged foot switch?
The Hairvac foot switch is made of iron and designed for heavy industrial usage. If damage has occurred due to wear and tear, you can order a replacement switch here.
You will need to get a licensed electrician to replace the switch for you.

How do I return my purchase?
You must return the goods in their original packaging to us, at your expense, to:

Note: If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods, we have the right not to accept their return.

If the Vacuum requires replacement electrical items such as the foot switch, power cord or the motor sustained due to damage or wear and tear, we strongly recommend you get a licensed electrician to replace any parts.

30 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE: (Hairvac Website Purchases Only)
We want you to be totally satisfied about the products you purchase from Hairvac online. If at any time within 30 days of receiving your order, you are not 100% satisfied, you may return it to us for a refund. No questions asked.
Any items damaged due to reasons not covered under warranty cannot be accepted back for refund under our 30 Day Money Back Guarantee. Also, associated shipping fees are not refundable.
NOTE: this guarantee only applies to orders placed on Hairvac website at Hairvac.com.au.

If you bought your product directly from Hairvac.com.au, and you are not satisfied with your purchase within 30 days of receipt, you can return it following the below procedure. Your card will be credited upon receipt of the returned merchandise for the amount of the vacuum only (freight costs will not be credited).
1. Request an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and form from Hairvac Customer Support. Click here, or navigate to the Contact Us tab to fill out the standard enquiry form.
2. Package products along with a copy of the RMA form.
3. Write the RMA number on the outside of the box and send to (items must be received by Hairvac within 14 days of issuing the RMA):

WARRANTY REPAIR & REPLACEMENT SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS:
Hairvac will replace your product or part free of charge if your product or part has a manufacturing defect that is covered by the warranty below. Hairvac is not responsible for shipping costs associated with warranty returns.
- BEFORE sending anything to Hairvac, please click here to contact our Customer Support Team or navigate to the Contact Us tab at the top of the home page. We are often able to solve the problem quickly via email.
- If our Customer Support Team determines that your problem qualifies under warranty coverage, you will be issued an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) number.
- Prepare a package to return to Hairvac.

HAIRVAC PRODUCT WARRANTY:
MCM Imports Pty Ltd Vacuum (Model no. HV100) is guaranteed against manufacturing defects one (1) year from the original date of purchase. Hairvac’s sole obligation in the event of such defects during this period is to repair or replace the defective part or product with a comparable part or product at Hairvac’s sole discretion.
Except for such repair or replacement, the sale, processing or other handling of this product is without warranty, condition or other liability even though the defect or loss is caused by negligence or other fault. Damage resulting from use, accident, or normal wear and tear is not covered by this or any warranty.
MCM Imports Pty Ltd assumes no liability for any accident, injury, death, loss, or other claim related to or resulting from the use of this product.
In no event shall MCM Imports Pty Ltd be liable for incidental or consequential damages relating to or resulting from the use of this product or any of its parts.
Please review and follow all instructions carefully before using your vacuum for the first time. Returns or replacements of parts and/or products may be subject to shipping, handling, replacement and/or restocking fees.
